Alykhan Mamdani (Co-Founder & CEO) has founded and led a number of companies from inception to national scope in both Canada and the United States. His strength is in providing the vision and strategy to build organizations and teams capable of achieving success. Alykhan has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Laws in corporate law and finance from Widener University in Wilmington, Delaware. Alykhan is a retired member of the Law Society of Alberta, the New York Bar, and the Certified Management Accountants of Alberta.
Dennis L. Nerland, QC (1953-2021) (Co-Founder and Chairman) was the managing partner of the Calgary-based law firm Nerland Lindsey LLP, practicing primarily in the area of tax and estate planning from 1990 to his retirement. He brought extensive background and expertise in legal, governance and risk matters. Dennis received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Calgary, a Master of Arts in Economics from Carleton University, Ontario and an LLB from the University of Calgary. He was a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Calgary Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association. He had taken the Directors’ Education Program offered by the Rotman School and was a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Dennis was a trustee of a number of private investment trusts and served on a number of public and private boards in the energy, technology and services sectors.
